"NO MULESING" - Mulesing is a process developed by John WH Mules. A process to combat parasites. Sheep are forced to “bath” in a chemical solution of insecticides and fungicides, often with their heads under water, all of which is a very difficult ordeal for the sheep. Some use chemicals that are also very toxic to humans. Residues of toxic substances are then found in the merino wool yarn and can settle in the human body, causing skin health problems and allergies. This also poses a serious health risk for the workers who bathe the sheep.
